It’s Friday!  

You hear the crowd screaming and you probably hear you friends or associates are happy.   I’m in the same mood and thought it would be interesting to share links to the most popular links I’ve found in the last few days.   Just to help you out!

Why I don't do Authoritative links!

Authoritative Links What those?

Authoritative links are basically people who are always linking to popular links for example:   Digitimes rumored that their will be a 99$ version of the Google Nexus 7 [Affiliate Link].  I don't know if I believe that or not but that got so popular in the last few days because everyone was linking to that one article on the internet.  It got so High in the Google Rankings for several days, that most people just  believe it to be true.  It could be true or it could just be rumor but everyone is wanting this so bad that if it doesn't happen people will be disappointed.   

Not to say Authoritative Links are bad!

I am not going to say that all those types of links are going to be bad but that doesn't mean that I will believe some of these types of rumors but I am one of those that wants to wait and see and not expect or anticipate that there will be one.   That is just asking for a let down when or if that product or claim is let out of the bag.

Why I don't do these types links should be obvious!

I probably have talked about it in this post but I prefer to make it really clear why I don't do these links every post.  I want to have original content and not just look like I am restating what others are already saying about a subject or product.  If you are looking to find other blogs that agree with a rumor than you have no problem with that.   I however want to talk about what is near and dear to my heart.  Usually I don't even read what people are saying about rumors.  So I try to steer clear of those types of post.

I do sometimes use those when I think it is necessary!

Just like this post, I do use them only when I think it is necessary and not just to get people to come and share these with others.  That is usually why every authoritative blog does that sort of thing so people will share it with their friends and family and they get more readers and more revenue.  

What are your thoughts about this?

Why Unsolicited links should be avoided!

Got them email from an account who is a known Scammer and the email message was:

marciaburn1@hotmail.com sent you a private message. 

As you can see the site the links have been removed.  I thought I would share with you some of the domains that it went to:

http://questionclickanswer.net/

http://question-answer-website.com/

and I suspect "http://webwordquiz.net" also

I'm sure there are more, but the moral of the story is that most of these sites are just scam.  How can you get that for free.   Not going to happen in my book, nothing ever comes free.   I then did research on those two domains and viewed the source of those two domains and they had a hidden pixel with a domain called (bluecava.com) Thanks to Web of Trust, I now know that this domain has been blacklisted!

What is a Hidden Pixel?

A pixel is a trick done by most advertisers who want to track where you've been.  It basically tells the browsers to requests a invisible image that you don't see on you computer and thus every time you get that image you IP is logged.   It isn't something that is good or bad, it is something that companies have done from the beginning of the internet.   It just helps me find out more about the spammer because that domain has been used for so long that I know more about it than I probably would of liked to of known.

Exploitable Links!

Now I'm sure this could of easily been an exploited link and thus you really shouldn't click links unless you are want to ask for trouble. If you ever get something that you don't know about you should let that person know and verify with them that way you know if it should be trusted.  Not all emailed links are to be trust but that doesn't mean you can't at least protect yourself.  You really should have an Antivirusu software [Affiliate Link] on you system.  If your want are looking for recommendations, you should check out my Antivirus suggestion page!
