Why blogging personally helps me! (5 Insightful tips for Blogging)

The Art of Blogging — mkhmarketing (http://mkhmarketing.wordpress.com/)

Why I blog!

When I started blogging in the 2007, I never really got the idea of what a blog is and what it was designed for.  For that matter, I didn’t even understand the dynamics of how to keep my blog writing.   The idea of researching, and working my blog was as foreign as to me as dating.   I haven’t dated very much in the past and I know that being nervous is something you have to expect.   It’s like the body is preparing for a fight or flight, when you have nothing to worry about.   Blogging is something that is an outlet for me.   It’s like a pressure valve that I can release steam if I am under to much pressure.

Journaling and my Thoughts!

Since I can ever imagine, I’ve been one of the ones to love to journal and put my thoughts on the page.   It is something that not everyone can do or even accept.   Some people think that doing a blog is making yourself more public.   I tend to agree on the stance that once you start blogging your becoming a public figure.   It isn’t something that people can comprehend but it is something that must be accepted.  Acceptance is something that is required by everyone, because if you can’t accept that.  Firstly, people will be looking at your blog post in detail and judging you on the merits of the blog posts.  This can be very frustrating to some, and others like me simply smile and keep blogging.

Some useful Insights!

Since I having been blogging for over 7 years, I would of thought I would give you some valuable insights on blogging!  Each of these isn’t set in stone but can be a valuable tool and reference to keep people coming back to your blog!

Nothing Set in Stone — Even though your starting to blog you have the right to change or move your blog to anyplace you see fit.   That being said, if you do not learn from how your visitors feel about a certain setup of your blog.   You’ll know based on how they do not stay long or amount of people who come in the first place!

Find your Niche — Even though it seems like a constant reminder, it isn’t something that you need to figure out.   If you do not, you will have people come and go without actually having people stay and want to build a community!  Like Me, My niche is basically Cell Phones, and Android Operating systems.   Anything to do with Google Android is what I like to talk about it in one way or form!

Add personality — If you you aren’t going to be warm and inviting for each reader that comes to your site, then your wasting their time and yours.   They want that connection that drew them to your site in the first place.   If anything you should welcome them in one way or other to your site and make it so they want to keep coming back.   It takes 7 times before a reader decides to stay or go, so you have 7 times to make it inviting and create an community.

Build upon stories — I’ve done this in this post and others, talking my experiences and adding personality.   Guest of every nationality like to hear stories and just about anything that revolves around the niche you trying to build upon.   So I am sure you have stories that can be used with your blog idea if you just stop and relax!

Money isn’t everything —  When I first started blogging, and I knew it was going to be hard to instantly start making money.   So I just put the idea to the side.   I developed the community and my niche first and then you can start learning to make money around your niche.   You should not expect to make any money in the first year if that.   I think that is a good rounded answer.   It just depends on how hard you work on your blog and how many readers you get to come to your site.   Keep in mind that what you promote should be something you believe in and not what others believe in.   If you take a personal responsibility on that, you have a much greater chance of making money.  Don’t expect it to come over night that is for sure!

If you follow these 5 tips, your be more happier and bring in even more readers and followers to your blog.   Nothing comes without hard work and understanding of the people or things that you talk about.   So if you put your heart into your blog, you can bet it will be a success no matter the real outcome!

The Naked Truth about Blogging and Making Money Online! (Tentatively)

Since the last time you been here, I have told you about 4 of my personal secrets.   Well, I’ve pretty much decided to buckle down and start writing.  I must say I have the first chapter pretty much started and have so many ideas and thoughts of how I want to organize the book.  I have been writing in a notebook about the ideas and am certain it will develop in the coming months.

In need of Proof Readers!

I know I’m not perfect and I even know in my posts, I make some silly mistakes.  I know my punctuation isn’t any good either.  I will be looking for a few good proof readers who will help me make this book Awesome.   You don’t need to be a teacher in English to help me, but you will need to be down right honest with me.   If you think you fit the bill, please feel free to contact me and we will talk!

The Book idea!

I will talk about my life experiences and what I’ve have learned in the 6 years of blogging!  I will show you what I’ve learned about making money online and what are some more common ways to making money.  You will learn what I’ve have learned.  I have yet to completely write down all that will be included but I am sure it will be “AWESOME”.   In the coming weeks, you will see a few excerpts from the book on upcoming posts.   To show you what I am writing about.   Until then, just think about all the possibilities.

The Marathon!

Writing this book is going to be a marathon in my mind, because I will have to put in 1,000 hours or so before this is finished and I am hoping this brings in some decent income into my pocket.   I am not planing on this being a one hit wonder but am hopeful that when this is all said and done the book will bring in some kind of income!  Here’s looking to the future.

Day 23: Do you believe in Destiny?

Changes

Anyone can achieve their fullest potential!

I am going to change my destiny and challenge it.   I beat this isn’t the first time you’ve heard that saying.   Do you believe you have a destiny?  Destiny is like a fickle cat, but that is not something that you have not heard before.

My Blogging Experience!

I wanted to blog for 30 days, but it wasn’t for the lack of trying!  It was after all something I wanted to do, but time and work can be a very difficult thing to do when you want to blog.  Your exhausted and sleepy, these are what makes us human.   We can’t run 24 hours non stop we need to take breaks and sleep and relax.   Most people don’t know how to relax, they just go through the day to day routines non stop.   Day in and day out, when you finally get to the point of utter exhaustion, that is when you know to take a breath and change!

Change is always preferable!

Change can be a preferable way to get things done.   In this article, I’m going to point out a few ways to help you change.   Call these a quick tips for change.   Although you will need to adapt these to your circumstances, I don’t see any reason why these won’t help you in your long journey of change!

  • Be accountable — if your can have accountability your more than likely going to change and not stay where you are!   It isn’t as if your want to stay the same.   Find someone or something to help you change!
  • Change routines — even if your have a great routine, sometimes just changing one thing can make a difference in your wanting to change.   Call it a way to take small steps.   If your not going to walk like a toddler and learn from your mistakes you will not be able to change!
  • Volunteer — Find something to be active in.   This is a great chance to be the change as some would call it.   You don’t have to do anything major but do work on baby steps activities!

These are my tips that should help you change.   If you take tiny steps you can make the changes you want to make.   I am making my own changes and and hope that you make some changes yourself.   You can do anything you want if you make the effort.

How one man's journey can ROCK his world!

No One said it would be this difficult!

<

Ever since I started this 30 day idea of blogging each day, I never knew it would so hard to come up with topics each and every day.

I figured it was something to discuss a little and try to help other’s with having what some would call Writer’s Block and I know it is difficult to overcome some days. Pushing through it can be difficult but also can be really rewarding!

From the Beginning!

Ever since I started blogging in 2007,  I’ve had my unique challenges and thus it has been a road of adventure and intrigue.   It isn’t something I’ve thought would bring me any where as many readers has it has lately.   I’m really happy with where I’ve been and where I’m going to go.   So that much is true today and I’ve put a lot of expectations on myself to be blog more lately, even though it has really be tough to start off.   It has been getting more and more easier to write.

How to write a blog Post!

I’m going to share with you my ideas and hopefully help you come up with some ways to help your blog. Nothing is set in stone, and nothing I say will work for everyone but it is my hope that you gain some kind of insight.

Start Writing!

This is something that I’ve been doing from Day 1 of my blogging challenge and I’m working everyday to  see my dream of getting to day 30 and seeing where that brings me.   I might even come up with a new daily routine to get 2 or 3 blog posts out a week after that.  It just depends on how well this 30 day challenge is and will be taken by my dear friends and readers.  This is a month long challenge for my abilities and I’m hoping to make this happen once a year.

Topics and Ideas!

When I started thinking about this a few weeks back.   I wanted to come up with ideas and topics that needed to be talked about.   It has been really help full for me and I will share what I will talk about in future posts.

  • Men and Women — Why they are so different
  • Google takes over the world
  • Being alone is something difficult!
  • No one is perfect, not even me!
  • How to advertise in Squarespace [Affiliate Link]
  • Reviewing Squarespace  [Affiliate Link] — Pro’s and cons!

As you can see this has been a very interesting experience and I will work hard at making this happen in the coming days.   It is going to be a challenge to keep writing but with your support, I should ROCK your world and mine in the same process.   This is my journey and I am glad you are coming along for the ride.

Gee, Thanks for sharing! 4 reasons why you should share!

The Duck Episode!

Sharing shows support!

Have you ever seen the cheerleaders?  Or Mascots?

These are they types of people who you probably never understood until now.

When you share a post or recommend a post you are helping to support the blog or even recommending people to check out these person's blog.   Some people blog for fun other like to blog for money.   I'm here because I'm passionate about a lot of different areas.

Sharing is good business!

Imagine yourself talking to another business owner.   He tells you that he has recommended customer to your business.

When you share you recommend another blogger or business that may make contact with them to bring in even more good stuff.   So by sharing a blog post or recommending a blog you are helping yourself.

Sharing is fundamental!

When you were young, didn't you share you toys?  Everything in life should be shared to your friends.  We want to connect to our friends and encourage them.

When you share to your friends and family you are telling them you love them and appreciate them.  You also show them you are thinking of them!

The Golden Rule!

"Due unto others as you would have done unto you!"

When you share you are telling people you are doing right.   It's a way to make sure people help you and encourage you in the same process.   So by sharing you are following the Golden Rule!

Isn't it time for you to share a blog post or a blog and recommend it to all your friends.  See the share buttons farther down.   How about sharing and showing everyone you care!

Hey Monkey Get off my Back!!!

monkey checking monkey checking monkey checking monkey

Have you ever had a Monkey on your back?

I've had several monkeys on my back.   Two of them are my children, they seem to like to climb on my back. ALOT!  This brings me to something that is near and dear to my heart.   Getting stuff done while having to handle those unexpected situations or as I call them monkeys!

When you get something unexpected how do you deal with them?

Most of us would argue that it isn't the monkey but the stress that goes along with it.

Oh The joy of stress!

Stress is in all forms and shapes, it can be as  simple or as difficult.   It is however a way we are raised and thus we will all handle it differently.   The problem with some people is they don't know how to handle it and it becomes way to much for them.   I've seen it happen and I thought this would be a great topic to talk about.

This isn't going to my normal posts, it is going to be the one where you should sit back and think about how you would handle stress differently.

Faced with stress, too many people feel they have nowhere to turn to, that they don't have access to the kind of friendships or communities where they can easily and openly share their problems and worries.
Here are a few ways I like to take stress off and you might want to try them!

Pray

You know Praying seems to really help me when there is something that I don't know how to deal with and usually Stress seems to be a big part of the dealing of what ever I am having an issue with.   So why not just sit where you are and pray.   It really couldn't hurt, probably will help!

Go for a long nature walk

This is really good to do when you it is really nice outside.   You can explore nature and see all the things that might interest you.   I like to just explore the walk and see all kinds of strange and unusual things.

Watch a great Science Fiction Movie/Show

Hey, I'm an avid fan of science fiction and thus it will sometimes let me get my mind off the things that are bothering me.  It also might help me think about the problem while I watch something that is unrelated to the problem and stress!

Read a Book

Although reading a book might sound like a way to avoid the stress, it can be very beneficial when you need to let your subconscious think about the problem at hand.   I usually like to read anything Science Fiction or Technology related so it is a really big selection for me.

Listen to Music

Listening to music especially music that is up beat and makes you happy will do a lot to fight stress and maybe even give you the idea or the help needed to work through the problem.   I've found music can help you clean or do other stuff when needed.

Lastly, Talk to my Friends or family!!

I know this one probably wasn't on your radar but I have found talking to my friends and family about problems will help you deal with stress and maybe they can help you in more ways then one.   So don't be afraid to ask for help on occasion it doesn't mean your weak but that you need help. How do you deal with stress?

How I intend to make money with my blog!

Earning Money through Blogging!

When you hear that from someone what do you think? Is it just a full of hot air or do they actually have a plan?  In today's society people are always wanting to make money online using such things as Adsense or Google Affiliate network.

I'm sure you probably heard this before from other bloggers.   I know I was skeptical of anything like this before, but I also know in the past I did make some money.   The money wasn't like 1,000 dollars a month but it was enough to help pay rent or something like that.   So I know it can be done but you just have to be ready to take it by the horns and run with it!

How I am going to make this happen?

When I first thought of this idea last month, I was not sure if I could.   After all I've got a full time job and obligations that I must do day by day.  I did some really long hard thinking and even planned some of this out and your the first that I am sharing this with.

Connect with my Audience!

This isn't going to be  the easiest because I sometimes don't know what my loyal readers are thinking about my blog or what they have to say, so it will be a challenge to get them to open up and tell me just how I can improve my blogging skills and my blog to make my blog that much easier for them to read my posts.

Giving Free stuff out!

This is something that sound counter intuitive but if you give your loyal readers something they seem to want to give back to you.  It is something that I've found to work really well in the past and I just had to stop that because of money and my situation at the time.  I'm right now waiting to find out what my readers are interested in, so I know what to give away.

Blogging more regularly!

This is where it will get tough for me because I will be not getting as much sleep at night.   I am going to start trying to blog every day for the next month at least and then see what happens after that.   So it might be stuff that you may or may not expect.   It just depends on my mood!  If you would like me to talk about something you can always contact me and tell me.  I will say I've already started this, if you haven't noticed.  I started this the first of the year.   So I am hoping this keeps up until February 1st.

I really don't know how well this will help me but I am looking forward to the future and the possiblilites which are endless.  It is a time game right now and I hope you sit and spend some time with me every day.

Dear my 21 Year Old Self! What I need to tell you now!

182/365 Sparkle (+2)

What you need to understand!

Writing isn't an art per say, but it is something that grounds us into who we are today.   I know I have lost a lot but also I know I've gained alot since I was 21 years old.   That is why I'm making this post, not just for me but to help you connect with me the steps I did and why it was so heart wrenching that I'd have to post about it.   Nothing in this post will be talking about technology but it will be somewhat related to technology.   After all, if I wasn't born this website would not exist.   So in a way I guess it is talking about technology.

The Wonder Years!

When I was a boy, I thought like a boy.   When I was a teen, I thought like a teen.   When I was 21, I had great expectations and hopes and dreams.   Nothing in my wildest dreams would I of known where I would be when I was 21, where I am now.    That is the what usually happens when your young.   You got all these things you would like to do or see and they just don't turn out the way you planned.
I got out of High school and was planning to go to college.   I was actually just about to start college when I met a certain girl.  We will call her "A".  It was a whirl wind romance, fell in love and didn't really have time to think about the future we got into this really well so well, she was pregnant before we were even married.   We had Three beautiful kids and I adore them every chance I get.   The problem with this marriage is we never got along and that might be the fact we never really communicated the way we should of.   I am not going to say it was all her fault, that would be wrong on my part.  We both had something to do with this because it does take two to make a baby.

The Marriage Years!

I've already talked about Eight things you didn't know about me.   It was however a small amount about me.   I was and am still concerned some security but I also would like to share with you my life experience in hopes that you don't make the same mistakes as I have.  Me and my Ex-wife, yes you heard it right, would always yell and argue with me over the stupidest stuff.   I think we sometimes just argued just to communicate.   She expected all this stuff from me and I guess I did the same thing back. I just know that communication is the one thing that if I ever get married again, I will find someone who believes as I do and wants to communicate and not just stay on the computer all the time.  This was a problem for both of us, I guess we didn't really want to communicate.  I really shouldn't say didn't because it was more of a inability to communicate is more like it.  We never while dating ever really communicated and thus it made our marriage that much harder to deal with.

Single Years again!

Well myself, I just hope you see what you have to go through in the next 15 years and to hopefully learn some very important lessons.   When you finally start to date again, I hope you learn to communicate and talk to your next mate.   This way you can know just how well you will do with this person and maybe even find your soul mate.   I just hope you find someone to cuddle with and be happy with.   You deserve to be happy and I know how that feels.  Please understand that the search for this mysterious women is a long process, but when you find that one person it will be worth it.  Please keep laughing and don't forget to stop and smell the roses!

Looking for that Special Someone through Dating Sites!

I Want You to Want Me

Dating Sites and You!

I've recently told you about a few dating sites, and I wanted to talk about my experiences.  Some of the sites that I've tried are:

  • Christian Mingle -- I've got my own profile and everything.   I personally have tried this site for several weeks.
  • Plenty of Fish -- This is a good site for people who are wanting to chat for free.
  • Zoosk -- Another site that you can use to find that perfect someone.  I just didn't like the fact that you can look but not chat or even message people without buying a subscription.

These are just a few of the sites that you could visit if you are looking for that special someone.  I've been trying these sites few a months and I'm really am hoping I'd find that special someone.

Elizabeth Gallagher where are you?

I've calling out my readers to see if you can help find this person    I know there are people out there that are hopeless romantics but I saw this girl on Christian Mingle and also Zoosk.  Her Profile on one of the sites is quite interesting.  She's a blogger and I'm a blogger also, this would be one of the many things we have in common.   Maybe even have something to do together, she could talk about sports and I'll talk about the technology behind the sports.  It would be a glorious place for fans of sports to understand it.

I'm hoping she gets word of this post and comes looking herself.   I know I've tried to contact her through the site and not had any luck with her.   I'm not sure if the spam system is blocking my attempts or what so I thought I'd be bold and do something that is totally outside of my comfort zone.   If you know her or her blog make sure to give her my site and tell her to check it out.   If you want also make sure she gets the blog post in question.

Contributors wanted! Get Paid to do what you know!

Writers Wanted!

As many of you don't know, I've accepted a really good paying job with a lot of hours lately.   It seeems they are really in need of my services.   I can't really talk about company because of the NDA clause, so I won't go there.   I however will be to tired and worn out to come home and blog every week but that doesn't mean I won't do it from time to time.  I however want to keep the content going for my readers.   With the money I'm making now, I can now afford to pay for blog post once or twice a week.

Posting Requirements!

I know this is going to be something you've already done if your a free lance writer but I do have some requirements to post to my site.   Here they are:

  • Unique post only -- I will be using a Copyscape to check for uniqueness and thus I don't want to google dinging me over copying!
  • Keep it Related -- It has to be related to technology or even Android Cell Phones.   It really doesn't matter what it is just as long as it is technology related.   You can review items that you've purchased or anything like that.
  • Keep the post around 500 words -- you can always do more but it should be kept around 500 if at all possible.
  • Pictures -- use only Creative Commons pictures unless you can show you have the rights to the picture in question.
  • No spam -- Spam will get your account deleted and post(s) removed that is all I have to say about that!

You submit your post and I'll review them and decide when they will go public, if you have a particular time you are looking to post it just tell me and we will discuss it.   I will be editing them to verify they are SAFE.

Payment!

So you've read what my requirements to write a post.   These are really just common sense things but I don't want to chance anything.   If your wondering about what you get in return, I will pay 5$ per post.   I do require however that in order to get payed you have to be submit and be approved 5 articles (25$ worth).  If your approved you have a few options available to you:

  • Get Paid through Paypal!
  • Get a 25$ Gift certificate from Amazon [Affiliate Link]!
  • Money Order!

As you can see you have several options available to you to get paid but you do have to get to post more than just one post to get paid.  If you think your wanting the job please feel free to contact me and tell me your interested if possible some example posts.

How to Succeed in Blogging Without Even Trying! [Guest Post]

50 Golden Blogging Tips For Business

There are tons of people trying to make an easy income by blogging. From niche subjects to multi-level marketing gurus, it seems like everyone has an angle or a tactic that they hope will grab readers' attention and catapult them to success. So what can you do to stand out from the crowd? These tricks offer some secrets to bringing your blog to peoples' attention and building a steady audience.

Find What Works

One way to learn the strategies that will drive your blog to the top is to find what's already worked for others. Take a minute to write down your top 10 blogging heroes, the ones who have set the bar for you or blazed the trail you want to walk. (If you don't have blogging role models, find some. If you never read blogs, you can't expect to succeed in writing them.) Figure out what worked for them and then translate it into strategies you can apply.

Eye-Catching Real Estate

There are three critical factors in real estate: Location, location and location. It's the same in blogging. A domain name that people will remember will give you a massive advantage over your competitors. Think about it. If you want to learn about jogging, are you more likely to check out i-can-teach-youhow-to-jogbetter23.net or JogBlog.com? Registering a fantastic domain name is easy using the tool on Name.com that lets you check to see what domain names are available. Choosing the right one can turbocharge your efforts by making it easy for readers to find you. Think short and catchy. (And avoid dashes like the...well, like underscores.)

Build Your Networks

Sad as it may be, nobody cares that you really want them to read your blog. They care about what adds value to their lives, and the biggest way most people find blogs to read is through their friends' recommendations. What does that mean for you? Get busy on social networking sites like Google+ and ask your readers to spread the word. The more you can engage with your readers and give them tips or tidbits or jokes worth passing on, the more they'll become evangelists for your blog and your personal platform.

Publish a Book (In Weeks or Less!)

Becoming a published author is a fantastic way to build your personal platform and get your message out to new readers. You say you haven't written a manuscript yet? No problem! Thanks to recent fusions between the publishing industry and the Internet, you might be able to turn your blog into a physical book in a matter of weeks. An exciting new trend is for bloggers to publish their blogs in book form, using a series of strategically chosen and arranged posts to form the content of the book. Reusing the work you've put into your blog is a great way to break into new markets and keep building your through personal platform.

See The Big Picture

Having a plan is the first and best trick to making money blogging. As you explore these tactics, you'll find what does and doesn't work for you. Take note of what you find. Massage it into a personalized strategy. Set high goals and run after them with abandon. With the right combination of work, luck, strategy and platform you might be the one to strike blogger gold.

Four Lessons I've learned from Blogging!

iPad 2 Launch // Austin by achimh, on FlickrBoy have I learned A lot!

I've not sure how many have seen the changes the last few days on my site.  If you haven't you should really check it out and see just what I've done to better become better at blogging.   I've really done a lot in the past two weeks and that isn't including what I've done with my life.   I've found a job that requires me to work on the weekend.  Some of you are probably saying OUCH, I know my kids will have to deal with me on the week days only for the time being.  If your wondering, I've decided to try to be less intrusive on the Advertising and see how that works.   I've pretty much have nothing to loose and everything to gain if more people will sign up for the newsletter.  I don't know when I'll post more regularly next week but I'm hoping once everything settles down, this will become a more friendlier place.   I decided to leave Hostgator behind in hopes to have the site load faster and be able to change it when I want to.   My choice so far is Squarespace, it seems to have what I want and let's me do everything I've always wanted to do with very little effort.

Don't accept mediocrity!

What is mediocrity? I won't go into much detail but in simple english it is a person who accepts the average. When I first started blogging, I wanted to be extraordinary but that can sometimes be really difficult when it comes to blogging and knowing how to blog.   It really doesn't matter what you think of yourself but what others think of your first.   If you can proof yourself better than the average person then you are more likely to set an example for the ones to come.   This is my dream, that I might be able to set some examples in todays society.  It can be hard and I'm sure it will always be interesting, to some that can be easy but others it is extremely hard to be successful blogger.  I've pretty much decided that nothing is going to stop me from being EXTRAordinary, but the path to that is going to be a hard and trechous one!  I'm sure it will get better in the days to come but the road less travelled always has sharp rocks!

Don't Sweat the Small stuff!

I used to worry about those small posts that no body really read.   It was something that was a constant reminder of what I've not done right.  I don't know about you but this can be very hard for some, me included. I've learn that the small posts are just a way of testing the waters.   Something that comes with time and experience.   I won't say that it is going to be easy but it will be interesting.  If your like me, I love to be interesting and not nothing.  Just think, you might be a the next big blogger.   I've no longer worried about my stats but I am using my comments and emails to find out how people are liking my post.  You just got to remember to not be dishonest with your readers, this will make their experience much better and yours.

Simpler is Better!

This is something that I've come to realize the last few weeks.   My blog got so bloated with stuff that I thought it was a cruise liner and not a yacht.   If your like me, sometimes you need to re-evaluate your blog and see where you can trim it down or make it faster.  I've decided on my blog to change everything and make it less intrusive with advertising, I think that is something that can help my blog grow.   It however will always take time and you can't always expect it take off immediantly.  If your really want to make some money on your blog, you might consider reader ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income [Affiliate Link].  I've just started reading this book and have found it extremely helpful with my blogging and understand how to write a better post.

Refocusing your posts!

Don't always assume that your posts are big.  If you don't sit down and think your article out, you may loose people.   If your going to post about your blog and not think of your readers experience then you are just asking for problems down the road.   I won't tell you how to refocus but I will say this, if you want reader engagement then you must come up with your content and make it your passion.   It however just depends on you and no one else.  If your interested in learning how to become a better blogger, you might check out some of these books [Affiliate Link] to help you on your way.
