The simple truths that people rarely ask themselves or others.  Truth In Dating which captivates me to the extreme.

Some of the common questions that I have asked while reading this resolves around a certain young lady that I have been talking with the last few weeks:

• Is it wrong that I think your Cute?
• Is it wrong that I simply enjoy seeing your texts or you when you call? 
• Is it wrong that when your sick, I just want to wrap my arms around you and try to help.
• Is it wrong that I See a picture of you and the first thing I see is your eyes and that makes me smile? 
• Is it wrong to want you to be happy? 
• Is it wrong to ask God to bless you as much as he blessed me with just having you as a friend? 
• Is it wrong that I enjoy listening to the sound of your voice when we talk on the phone? 
• Is it wrong that you have been my muse the last few weeks with writing? 
• Is it wrong that I just want to hold you and never let go? 
• Is it wrong that I’m over joyed when you do something fantastic? 
• Is it wrong that I want to help you get the best job possible?

Not that it matters what people think about what I am writing because this blog has always been a way to put my thoughts in words and possibly help a few people if at all possible.   This book has already had an almost immediant impact in what I am doing in search for the right person.   I expect nothing to change in the next week or months but I am finally giving up the control of how to find a date.   I am going to be an open book to everyone who is my friend and hopefully I find that special someone.

When I started my journey on understanding about Singleness, I found that I needed to learn about being single and thus, I became single in one aspect and my heart grew even better because I started to see all these possiblities.   

Telling the truth

As with anything in life, something I have already gleemed from just a few chapters of this book is that you must start honestly with any relationship you have rather it is a friend or the love of your life.   Most people hide behind some reason why they do not want to be honest with someone.   Most of the time it is because they fear rejection and not wanting to loss this sense of control in how they approach this certain relationship.  I’ve learned through God that I have no control what so ever, he’s the only one that has all the control.   I am just doing his will.   

I’ve started reading this book “Truth In Dating (Amazon Affiliate Link) By Susan Campbell” last night and I have yet to finish but it has started me thinking of everything that I could do to make a lasting connection with that one person that I know God has for my life.  I strongly encourage you to read this book and decide for yourself.   You sure not going to regret the insights you learn from reading this book.   It will guide you on how you should be and why it is so important to be honest!

The Naked truth about you and your Cell Phone!

Do you need your cell phone?

This is been a common plight of mine when it comes to having a cell phone, is the age old question of do you really need a cell phone?  We are going to discuss this in this post!  I’ve been going without a cell phone to work and I’m going to tell you my experiences!   Be that it might be sacroligious to some, it is something that happens from time to time.   

Do you panic if you don’t have you Cell phone? I did a few times until I got used to not having it with me.   It can be a very bad reaction the first few times.  I was frantically trying to find my cell phone and yet I forgot that I left it at home.  I know I’m not the only one who has left a cell phone at home and it is bound to happen to someone sometime! 

This all started last week when I was in such a rush to get to work that I left my cell phone on the cell phone booster holder.   Usually I would grab the phone the last second and go merrily off to my job.   This time however, I bypassed grabbing and rushed out the door to my car.  The easy answer to why I did it was because of it snowing and I didn’t want to be late for work.   

I really was shocked at how much time I had at work to do some amazing things and to flirt with females at my work.   I won’t say that was all I did, but it was a pleasant change to actually talk to people and interact with them.   I guess we are all addicted to Facebook, Twitter, and more social media sites than we were 5 years ago.   It has become the thing, to be social on the phone and not it person.   

You may be asking questions of the old time, what if this and that.   Do you really need a phone when an emergency comes up?  Someone would argue yes but I really don’t see that as being a problem.  As long as my family knows how to reach me through my work, I am better off to not be bother unless it is an actual emergency.   There are times not having a cell phone has been nothing but a God send, not having to deal with friends or old relationships can be such a joy!

I Challenge YOU!

I’m throwing this challenge out to all my readers.   If you think you are addicted to your phone, than leave it at home and start making conversations at work.   If you think you can’t handle that, start by doing it 1 to 2 hours at a time and work your way up to a full day.   You will be surprised at what you accomplish.   Then when you do actually do that, come back here and leave and tell me what happened and how you did!   I’d love to hear your stories about your experiences.

Week away from work!

Every now and then I'm in a position to take a few days off at work because of something going on in my family, distant and close family.   I've got a Sister that I have been helping these past few months with anything and everything that involves my oldest daughter.  Allyson, I'm sure you might not know who but she is my oldest daughter and has Cerebral Palsey.

Cerebral Palsey is an umbrella term encompassing a group of non-progressive, non-contagious motor conditions that cause physical disability in human development, chiefly in the various areas of body movement.

As you can see she is always smiling and happy, I've never complained about her to anyone.  I never really knew what people went through when they have a special needs kid to have to raise until recently.  Everything I've done this week is to help my sister, who is taking a week long vacation and who takes care of Allyson for me.  I must say when she offered to this, I didn't know how she was going to do this but it has been a real blessing in my life because of all that is happening in my personal life.

This week was a Handful!

I'm not saying it has been all bad but it has been a really busy week.    I didn't know what to blog about on my Friday post but I thought it would be good to tell you some stuff about me so you can understand where I sometimes come from when I blog about topics!

1. My Hometown is Hopkinsville, KY.   This will always be where my heart is.   Nothing else has ever been anywhere closest to my heart than that little city!


2. I'm a University Of Kentucky (Affiliate Link) Fan, I've got Hats and Umbrellas that say UK all over it!  I don't watch all the time but when I do, I don't stop watching for the game.


3. I am in a Club call Starfleet Command, and I am always helping them with their website and other such things.  I simply love this group because everyone is so nice and we all like Science Fiction.


4. I simply love to watch Japan Animation.   This is simply best part of how to draw animation.   Some of my favorite shows and movies  are Naruto Shippunden(Affiliate Link), Howls Moving Castle, Ponyo(Affiliate Link), and anything that has a lot of action in it.


5. I've got High Blood pressure.  My Blood Pressure isn't extreme but it is higher than the doctor would like.   He always says I should get more exercise but I really don't have time for it or like it!


6. I'm a little Over weight, again that goes back to my blood pressure problem.   They seem to be hand in hand, the doctors is constantly telling me to start exercising.


7. I've got Dyslexia, it was much harder in high school with this problem than it is today.  I've worked hard to keep under control and I can now read and write much more proficiently than I could when I was young.


8. Number 8 is of course about my CP Daughter!

Look back at the past: Friday!

Looking back is always good to do!

Having had a really unusual past, I do sometimes wonder if you could look back at your past. What would you do differently or would you do anything differently?  We've all had our little problems in the past and not to mention having to deal with stress along the way.   Everything we do weather it be going to work to family problems can cause regrets and even me being a blogger get those questions that we can't really answer.   Although answering the question isn't really the point it is the part of the journey of discovery, as some would say.   We can always come up with excuses to why we do things we do but until we accept our past and say I forgive myself then we may never see the future or get the future that we may want or need.

I'm not saying that we should air our dirty laundry per say but to see it in a different light.   We can learn from our mistakes and make something good come from it.    Sometimes though people often don't learn from their past mistakes but those are people who refuse to be truthful with themselves.   We really can't help those who don't want to help themselves, but we can help ourselves help others.   A few weeks ago I did a blog post, Pay it forward: Friday, and this time we are taking a time to look at our past and admit to ourselves that we may need a little more help then we really would like to admit.   I must admit this blog post was brought on by two different posts, one was Dolphin Tales and the other one was "Unchain the Name" blog post.   I want to discuss some of what I am feeling in this blog post.

Are you Second?

I've really been think about my priorities this month and why I haven't been successful like I know God wants me to be.   I finally realized that I haven't really put God first and I've decided in the coming months to work on making my blog more friendly to Christians.  I'm going to start calling myself a Christian Tech blogger, but I am not sure how you would classify it.   I've seen some people talking about that same topic but can we actually define it or do we need to come up with something really new.

Our Past defines us!

Now we all have some kind of past that really has impacted us somewhere or somehow.   It really has been something of a working struggle to define my past.   I've got so many things that I have yet to forgive myself over that I may not be a perfect christian but I do like to think of it as a continual journey.   I can't really say where I'd end up but I do know that ever since I was a small boy, I have always like technology and I know in todays churches we are always going to see Ipads, Iphones, and other tablets that are used in looking up Bible  (Affiliate Link)passages and thus will always be in need of Christian Tech support.

Our Present is Upon us!

When I ask myself what I am expecting to do in the coming years, I always am looking at what I am doing now.   It doesn't matter what I am doing but it is something that will affect me tomorrow and the next day.   I know I will never be perfect but I'm not going to create a post that no one will want to read but it will be a interesting journey to what I have learned over the years.   I also feel like I want to be a writer but am unsure of how to better accomplish this.   I guess God is calling me to do something but I have yet to figure out all the details but I do know this blog will be a big step in the right direction.

Our Future is yet determined!

I really don't know what the future will hold but I am going to take it as it comes.   I can't say anything else but that.   Do you know your future?  Are you ready for it? These are all questions that we are constantly asking.

As I am Looking through some sites I find out about:

Vista To release Service Pack 2 in April 2009

[ad#digg-right] Some sources are reporting that Vista SP2 will be out in April.   According to Engadget they claim TechARP is a bunch of Malaysian Kids that like to boast about how they broke the Vista SP1 and XP SP3 release schedules to the world.  They claim though that Vista Release candidate is to be out around February.Microsoft has indicated that this SP3 will include Windows Search 4, Bluetooth 2.1 wireless support, faster resume from sleep when a wireless connection has been broken and support for Blu-ray.   I personally think it will include some of Windows 7 features to better get people accustomed to Windows 7 when they come out.

[ad#ad2-left]Although this is speculation and no hard evidence I think it has some merit due to the fact that Microsoft has admitted in the past that Vista was a big Letdown.  I don't think they can any more to damage than they have already done.   If anything Windows 7 will be a easy Success if they pull it off in the right way!!!  Although with WIndows 7 be leaked online there is no telling what will happen. I am sure what ever happens will be interesting to say the least!!!

Podcasters are in up in arms over Ustream.tv

They have started to introduce there own ads overlay to where the lifecaster or podcast involved doesn't get any revenue. One such Podcast right now is Mike Smith, Host of the Miketechshow Podcast, and Also Todd Cochrane, Host of Geeknewscentral.  In a Recent post from Todd, he stated he is going to leave Ustream.tv.


[ad#ad2-right]Mike Smith in his last Podcast talked about this subject and why he is really unhappy with Ustream.tv.  He says that the ads could possible violate his TOS with Techpodcast Network.  He also would like to share the revenue because he was one of the founding podcasters that started to use Ustream.tv.   He's worried that there will be adult theme ads showing on his video stream and that He wants this to be family friendly.  He's said before the show if he has to he'll go to other networks.   Some of the networks that might help him out:

Ustream.tv is the one Mike is having problems with but I tell you this in case someone is looking for streaming media platform.   These others I've checked out are decent and have there own look and feel.  Each one has its own personality and server capabilities.   So it will be a test on the next platform that Mike decides on!  I provide these to better help people make the right choice and also let people know about Ustream.tv Not telling you about the ads. [ad#ad2-left-1]I wanted to bring this up because of two things that I saw first off that made this look like a scam. One is they want to "CREDIT" your credit card and two they use a GMAIL account. I am going to say this is looking more and more like a scam. If anyone else has any other ideas about this just leave your comment.  I don't see how this can be real.   I am thinking once they have your credit card information, they'll start using it.
